Day-to-Day Expedition Program

Touch down at Leh Airport. A Travel Astu representative will provide a seamless transfer to your hotel. The morning is reserved for essential acclimatization. In the afternoon, enjoy a light tour of the Leh Palace, the Hall of Fame, and a sunset visit to Shanti Stupa with your licensed city guide.

Overnight: Leh (Premium Hotel)

Travel by private jeep to the village of Stok. While our pony team loads the heavy gear, you begin a 4-5 hour trek toward Mancarmo. Walk through fascinating rock formations and keep an eye out for Blue Sheep. Arrive at one of the highest grazing pastures in the world to find your Travel Astu luxury tents already pitched.

Overnight: Mancarmo (Expedition Camp)

A steady 3-4 hour climb takes you deeper into the desolate high-altitude wilderness. We establish Base Camp at 5,000 meters. The afternoon is dedicated to physical and mental preparation, technical gear briefings, and further acclimatization before the summit push.

The ultimate challenge begins at 1:00 AM. Guided by the moonlight and headlamps, navigate the strenuous terrain toward the peak. The final stretch involves technical maneuvers with ice axes and crampons. After 7-8 hours, reach the summit of Stok Kangri. Celebrate with a traditional "Khatag" (prayer scarf) before descending back to the safety of Base Camp.

Overnight: Base Camp

Wake up as a successful mountaineer. After a celebratory breakfast, descend back to the village of Stok (4 hours). Your private Travel Astu vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to Leh for a well-deserved hot shower and a final celebratory dinner.
