Early pick up from your hotel in Istanbul and transfer to the airport with your private car and driver. You will take a direct flight from Istanbul to Izmir which is about 1 hour. Upon arrival, you will meet with your guide and driver. Enjoy a visit to Pergamon where the Pergamenes invented the -Parchment- and see the ancient library, Greek Temples and The base of the Great altar, which was believed dedicated to Zeus. After lunch visit Asclepion of Galen and drive to Kusadasi via Izmir, historically Smyrna, is the third most populous city of Turkey. Overnight in Kusadasi. (Lunch)
After taking a 2 hour drive you will reach Hierapolis, the ancient Greco-Roman city on top of hot springs located nearby Denizli.
You will see the large necropolis which is filled with sarcophagi, including the Sarcophagus of Marcus Aurelius Ammianos as well as the Great Baths, Frontinus Street, Theatre, Martyrion of St. Phillip and the antique pool also known as Cleopatra-s pool.
Finally you will be amazed by travertines, (the terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water) on which you will take an enjoyable barefoot walk. On your way back from Pamukkale, you will see local farmers working in the cotton fields and how they pick the cotton. (Breakfast, Lunch)
