Detailed Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will meet, assist, and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, we will proceed for a guided sightseeing tour of two of Nepal's most sacred heritage sites:

  • Boudhanath Stupa: One of the largest stupas in South Asia and the center of Tibetan culture in Nepal. Standing 36 meters high, this ancient mandala design is said to entomb the remains of a Kasyap sage. It sits on the historic trade route where Tibetan merchants rested and prayed for centuries. Today, the bustling township around the stupa features vibrant Gompas (monasteries), curio shops, and rooftop restaurants.
  • Pashupatinath Temple: Located on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, this two-tiered golden pagoda temple stands in the center of an open courtyard. The inner sanctum contains a one-meter-high, four-faced Shiva Linga (Chaturmukha). The temple features intricate 17th-century wood carvings depicting scenes from the Ramayana. The surrounding grounds house historical ghats, including Arya Ghat—the exclusive source of lustral water for the temple and the traditional cremation site for the royal family.

The rest of the day is at leisure for last-minute trek preparation and packing.

  • Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a scenic drive along the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers to the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Phewa Lake, reflecting the stunning Annapurna range, followed by leisure time for last-minute gear shopping in the Lakeside market.

  • Overnight: Hotel in Pokhara.

Following breakfast, take a private drive to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek. From here, begin your trek following the Modi Khola riverbed, crossing suspension bridges and passing terraced farmlands to reach the village of Jhinu Danda.

  • Overnight: Guest House/Teahouse in Jhinu Danda.

Ascend through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, and bamboo. The trail features steep stone staircases leading up to Chhomrong—a large Gurung village offering spectacular views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail)—before dropping down to the river and climbing back up to Bamboo.

  • Overnight: Guest House/Teahouse in Bamboo.

A steady climb through the damp, cool bamboo forest brings you past the famous Hinku Cave. The canopy clears out as you approach the alpine zone, tracking closely along the Modi Khola river to reach the settlement of Deurali.

  • Overnight: Guest House/Teahouse in Deurali.

Today is the highlight of the journey. The trail climbs gently along the riverbed before climbing steeply over the mountain side. You will pass through Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700 m), where you are rewarded with an up-close look at the iconic Fishtail peak. Continue your ascent into the Annapurna Sanctuary, arriving at Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) for a breathtaking, 360-degree panoramic view of the snow-capped giants.

  • Overnight: Guest House/Teahouse at Annapurna Base Camp.

Wake up early to catch a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna massif. After breakfast, begin your descent. Because you are retracing your steps downhill, you will cover a significant distance today, dropping back down into the lush valley to rest at Bamboo.

  • Overnight: Guest House/Teahouse in Bamboo.

Retrace your steps back through Chhomrong. The trail descends steeply to Jhinu Danda. In the afternoon, take a short walk down to the riverbanks to soothe your tired muscles in the natural riverside hot springs.

  • Overnight: Guest House/Teahouse in Jhinu Danda.

After breakfast, complete the final short stretch of the trail to the road-head point. Meet your vehicle and enjoy a scenic drive back to Pokhara. Spend a well-deserved evening relaxing by the Lakeside, exploring cafes, or enjoying a celebratory meal.

  • Overnight: Hotel in Pokhara.

Enjoy a free morning in Pokhara for personal activities or a relaxed breakfast. Later, transfer to the domestic airport for your short, incredibly scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. The afternoon is free for souvenir shopping around the vibrant streets of Thamel.

  • Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy free time until your departure. Our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport in time for your flight back home.

Have a Pleasant Journey!
