Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this called the "Teen Dham" Yatra?

The traditional Chardham includes Badrinath. However, many travelers choose the Teen Dham (Three Abodes) focusing on Yamunotri, Gangotri, and Kedarnath due to time constraints or specific spiritual callings. Travel Astu (also known as Astu) ensures this shorter circuit remains deeply impactful.

What kind of vehicle is used for the mountain roads?

Travel Astu Pvt Ltd provides Premium Private AC Vehicles (Innova, Tempo Traveller, Urbania or similar) specifically maintained for the steep gradients of the Garhwal Himalayas. You will have a dedicated, experienced mountain driver throughout the 8 days.

Is the 18 km trek to Kedarnath difficult?

The trek is considered moderate to strenuous. Astu Travel can facilitate ponies or palanquins (doli) at an extra cost if requested in advance. We also suggest the Triyugi Narayan visit on Day 07 as a grounding spiritual experience after the descent.

Are permits included?

Yes. With Astu, your pilgrimage is hassle-free. We handle all biometric registrations and inner-line permits required for the Teen Dham circuit.

Is this a private tour or a group tour?

This is a completely private expedition. You will not share your vehicle or schedule with anyone else, allowing you to spend as much time as you need for Darshan and personal reflection.
